The annual Give to the Max Day event to raise money for Minnesota nonprofits is going on now through November 15, 2018. Donate to Whittier PTA and help us reach our $4000 and 40+ donor goal.  Funds support field trips, classroom resources, music enrichment, Spanish intern, community events & more!  Give to Whittier PTA GTMD or go to GiveMN and search for "Whittier International".

About Give to the Max Day

Give to the Max Day is a day for all Minnesotans to come together to create a better world for our children, our families, and our communities. Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN, a collaborative venture among organizations in Minnesota committed to helping make our state a better place. Since then, Give to the Max Day has become an annual tradition. Every year thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans.

Since its inception in 2009, GiveMN has raised more than $125 million for Minnesota nonprofits and schools and helped more than 9,500 organizations fundraise for their causes on GiveMN.org. 

Whittier International participates in Give to the Max Day (GTMD) in lieu of sending students home with the task of selling door-to-door, collecting money, and delivering goods. Participating in GTMD is an efficient way to support every student and teacher at Whittier International School. All GTMD donations go to our PTA to fund schoolwide programs and events, such as:

• Our long-standing partnership with MacPhail Center for Music to provide musical and instrument exposure to our K-3 grade students and piano and violin instruction to our 4-5 grade students.
• The Amity internship program through which, each school year, Whittier gets a language teacher from a Spanish-speaking country who provides world langague instruction to our K-1 students and supports heritage language instruction for K-5 students.
