My name is Jesus Barrera and I go by Mr. B.🐝I am super excited to be part of the Whittier community. I was once a student at Whittier and went to school in the Minneapolis school district so I know what it is like to be a student in the district and now coming back as a teacher is unbelievable.😊 I have been in the district working with kids for five years in K-5th grade. I have my bachelor's in business, and I received my Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota. I strive to provide an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel part of. I want students to have fun and incorporate a lot of hands-on activities. I have high expectations for all students and want to build a strong relationship with all students and families. Reach out to me anytime. During my free time I enjoy the outdoors, biking, and any sort of adventure. I also love to spend time with my family, eat good food, watch sports, and play sports. 🏈

Mi nombre es Jesus Barrera y me dicen Mr B🐝 Estoy muy emocionado de ser parte de la comunidad de Whittier. Yo fui estudiante de Whittier y asistí a las escuelas públicas de Minneapolis y por esa razón entiendo lo que es estudiar en el distrito de Minneapolis y ahora regresar como maestro es increíble. He estado en el distrito trabajando con niños durante cinco años en Kinder hasta 5to grado. Tengo mi Licenciatura(Bachelor's) en Negocios y recibí mi Maestría en Educación de Primaria de la Universidad de Minnesota. Me concentro y esfuerzo para crear un ambiente en el salón de clases  donde todos los estudiantes se sientan parte de él. Quiero que todos los estudiantes se diviertan e incorporen en las actividades prácticas.
