Whittier International School partners with the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to enhance IB education, broaden our international focus, and support our IB Units of Inquiry. 

Grade-level teachers, specialists, and our IB coordinator work with MIA staff and docents to gather information and create customized field trips that complement classroom work. We are lucky to be in the same neighborhood as MIA and, as such, are able to facilitate walking field trips from school to the MIA. 

Enhance your student's art learning! MIA hosts a free monthly event for families, kids, and the young at heart. On the second Sunday of every month, visit MIA for its "Family Day" to make art, go on artful adventures, meet local musicians, dancers, and storytellers, and more!
