I am excited for my second year as a special education resource teacher (SERT) at Whittier this 2020-2021 school year! I will be supporting students who receive special education services in kindergarten and first grade. I know this school year will be a little different with Distance Learning, but we will still make it great! I look forward to getting to know the students I will work with and their families as we work together to learn and grow!

I have been teaching in special education for 14 years, 6 of which have been in the Minneapolis Public School district. I received my teaching license after completing an undergraduate program with a major in Psychology and a concentration in Elementary Education/Special Education at Le Moyne College in Syracuse New York in 2007. I continued on to complete my MEd in technology in the classroom at the State University of New York, Cortland in 2009.

I am originally from New York, but have now lived in Minnesota for 11 years and really enjoy everything Minnesota has to offer! When I am not teaching, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
