Accelerated Reader : Students select books, practice reading and earn points to ensure reading success. 1st and 2nd grades on Mondays with Christy Botts. ??3rd, 4th and 5th grades on Thursdays with Sarah Reed. ?


Accelerated Reading Buddies : Students who are good readers will help younger students to select books, practice reading and earn points to ensure reading success. 3rd, 4th and 5th grades on Mondays with Christy Botts. ??


African Dance & Rhythm :What is life without music? Use creative movement to explore music and dance from West Africa. Students will play instruments and learn traditional dances. 1st - 5th grades. Tuesdays and Thursdays with Francis Kofi and Felicia Adeti.


Arts and Letters : Are you creative? Artistic? Like to read and write and make cool stuff? Come join our class and combine arts and crafts projects with fun creative writing exercises. Projects will include collage, poetry, drawing, stories and book making. 1st and 2nd grades. Wednesdays with Wanda Harris. ?


Choir : Love to sing? Students will explore the world through music in this fun class. 1st and 2nd grades. Thursdays with Kristin Bennett.


Compartiendo Dos Mundos : This class is for students who have recently arrived from Latin America and need English language support. We will learn about Mexican history and culture by studying Mariachi music, making maracas, learning about famous Hispanics and famous festivals. 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Tuesdays with Mary Daub. ?


Crafty Math : A fun and creative class where we will practice our math skills while making cool girly crafts like bracelets, necklaces and more. 1st and 2nd grades. Mondays with Shanika Wallace. ?


Dancing with Words : Dance it! Write it! Tell it! Together we will explore three styles of dance — jazz, modern and improvisation — to encourage self-expression and to foster healthy self-worth through dance movement and poetry writing. 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Thursdays with Edith Gibson. ?


Do you want to be a Writer?: Do you ever wonder what a writer does all day? If I told you the first part of a story, could you finish it? We’ll learn about writers and their work. We’ll write in journals and tell stories by making cards and writing letters. All you need to bring is your imagination. 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Tuesdays with Peter Blau. ?


Fun With Computers: Learn how to type and draw on the computer, then practice what you have learned. 1st and 2nd grades. Wednesdays with Annie Richardson. ?


Girlfriends: Join the club where you will hang out with your friends and make arts and crafts, get help with your homework and record your deepest thoughts in your own private journal. Most of all, you will have fun with your Girlfriends. 1st and 2nd grades. Mondays and Wednesdays with Shirley Williams. ?


Latin Dance: Anyone with a love of music, rhythm and movement can learn basic steps of Mexican folk dances. We will practice the folk dances from Jalisco. 1st -5th grades. Mondays and Wednesdays with with Yehimi Espenoza, Edgar Galvan and Ruth Cruz.


Rope Power: Have fun learning rope jumping routines and test yourself by setting goals and working to meet them. 1st - 5th grades. Mondays with Joe Wallraf and Ron Christopherson.


Spoken Word and Creative Writing: Learn to have fun being creative with words in this unique class. 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Mondays and Wednesdays with the noted local artist Desdamona.


Visual Arts and Sculpture: Express yourself artistically in several visual arts media in this fun class taught by an artist. 1st and 2nd grades. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
