African Dance & Rhythm: What is life without music? Use creative movement to explore music and dance from West Africa. Students will play instruments and learn traditional dances. Sign up for one day per week. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Tuesdays and Thursdays with Francis Kofi and Felicia Adeti.

Big Woods Club: Learn about the natural world through nature study, arts and crafts, story telling, science and games while keeping your literacy skills sharp. 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. Mondays with Jeanne Platt.

Bonkers for Books: Like to read? Like to draw? Have you ever wanted to make your own book? Join us as we read books, do crafts and make our own books. 2nd and 3rd grades. Wednesdays with Kristin Barstad and Samantha Scott. ?

JumpStart PM: All the fun and learning of our very popular morning JumpStart program, now available in the afternoon. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Wednesdays with Joe Wallraf. ?

Latin Dance: Latin Dance is a wonderful way to expose our youth to cultural diversity. This class will focus on the basic steps in salsa/mambo, cha cha, merengue and rhumba. Students will learn how to single and partner dance with emphasis on proper hand positions. This class is a fun way to enrich the kids knowledge through creative art study. Sign up for one day per week. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Mondays with Abiola Lipe, Wednesdays with Edna Stevens.

Learning Big Buddies: Do you like helping others? Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a teacher? Join us and become a Learning Buddy to a first or second grader who wants your help! We will do lots of fun things with our Learning Buddies. 5th grade. Thursdays with Sarah Kennon and Lucy Dinsmore. ?

Learning Little Buddies: Do you want to become a better reader? Do you want to know more about math? Come join us and we will pair you with a fifth grader to help you gain more confidence in reading and math in a supervised setting. We will also play games, read books and make crafts all with a focus on learning. 1st and 2nd grades. Thursdays with Sarah Kennon and Lucy Dinsmore. ?

Math Technology: The students will have access to online math assessment programs and will be able to create various graphs to show their progress. We will create mini portfolios of our math skills. 2nd and 3rd grades on Mondays and Tuesdays; 4th and 5th grades on Wednesdays and Thursdays. All with Maria Singh. ?

Nature Explorers: Have you ever made a volcano or nurtured seeds growing into plants? Do you want to learn how to make cool things out of natural materials? If you like to use your imagination and trying new things, this is the class for you! 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. Tuesdays with Kristin Barstad and Lucy Dinsmore. ?

Pequeños Picassos: Understand the art of Pablo Picasso by creating art in his style, including drawings, paintings, and sculpture all with an abstract way of thinking. 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades on Wednesdays; 3rd, 4th and 5th grades on Mondays. Both with Pearl Madryga.

TaeKwonDo: Taekwondo is the ancient Korean art of self-defense using hands and feet. Classes stress total fitness, balance, coordination, concentration, respect, discipline, confidence, self-defense and fun. Students will acquire the basic skills necessary to achieve these qualities and more, including leadership. Classes are taught by an instructor certified by the North American Taekwondo Federation and students need no prior experience. Sign up for one day per week. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Mondays and Tuesdays with John Lindquist.

Science LabRats: Do you want to know more about chemistry, biology and physics? If so, this class is for you! Each week we will conduct and observe cool science experiments. Students should be prepared to have fun and be amazed!. 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. Thursdays with Marija Nicholson. ?

Soccer Fundamentals: We will learn the rules and the skills needed to play soccer. Soccer is simple, easy and anyone can do it. 2nd and 3rd grades. Thursdays with Jim Crist.

The Write Stuff: We will practice our reading and writing skills while looking at all the wonderful ways words are used in our world. We will have fun reading books and using our imaginations. 4th and 5th grades. Mondays with Sandi Sevre. ?

Visual Arts: We will do a variety of arts including drawing, painting, collages and mobiles. We’ll finish with a group piece exploring the meaning of circles and natural cycles of the sun, moon and Earth. 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades on Thursdays; 3rd, 4th and 5th grades on Tuesdays. Both with Victor Yepez.

WORD WizardS: Words are all around us! In this class, we will practice our reading and writing skills while looking at all the wonderful ways words are used in our world, such as in stories, signs, and notes and letters. We will have fun reading books, writing and using our imaginations. 1st grade. Mondays with Amanda Hane. ?

Yoga: We will learn Yoga, a great way to great health. Yoga is simple, easy to learn and can improve strength, flexibility, balance, concentration and benefit the heart and lungs. Students should be able to sit still for extended periods of time to join this class. 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. Wednesdays with Daphne Bodene.
